The Language of Things

You have to write a message to someone dear to you, telling that person how much he/she means to you. However — instead of words, you can only use 5-10 objects to convey your emotions. Which objects do you choose, and what do they mean?

1. A piece of art to hang up on the wall for the luxury

2. A book signed by Salman Rushdie as a reminder of the preciousness of words

3. A radio to keep  company in times of solitude

4. Unlimited amounts of water to quench thirst as if by magic

5. A trip to Rio de Janeiro for the sun

6. A bootleg of a Prince concert to dance to

7. Fruit and nuts for the nutrition

8. An umbrella as protection from the rain (or sunshine)
